Well I guess I am a veteran, I can recall building cabinets (from Cubix) that had 2 CPUs' per board, a drawer could hold eight boards and the cabinet held four drawers. I make that's 64 processors per cabinet, that was in 1992.
Not that I ever built one with 64 CPU's but today, some 15 years later, you can expect 2000 CPU's per Cabinet as part of the "Fastest Supercomputer in the World"
